CICE releases clean energy candidate questionnaire as election season ramps up

The primaries are almost over and general election season is upon us. Many chambers and trade associations will host or participate in candidate forums or send out candidate questionnaires to assess candidates’ stances on a variety of issues that are important to the organization or community.

Clean energy policies have a major impact on our economy, energy independence, and national security. This year, we’ve seen communities across the country discuss the siting of utility-scale solar and wind projects, electric vehicle infrastructure, and economic and workforce development opportunities, among other clean energy topics.

We compiled a list of sample clean energy-related questions for you to consider as you’re putting together your questionnaire or candidate forum. We invite you to use these questions verbatim, edit them to suit your needs, or come up with other questions we haven’t thought of.

If you do come up with your own question or otherwise come up with something we didn’t think of, let us know—we may add your question to our list!

Email Rob Bradham, Director of Policy with questions or ideas.
