Energizing Economies
Energizing Economies
Energizing Economies is a national campaign to foster strategic local business and economic support for utility-scale clean energy projects where deployment is stymied due to local siting obstacles. As an established chamber peer and trusted third-party validator, CICE leverages its niche role within the business community to demonstrate the business case for these energy projects and their positive economic impact on host communities. Ultimately, CICE aims to foster education, build trust, and generate support for these initiatives. The campaign employs targeted engagement strategies, including:
Local chamber events
State-level webinars
Educational resource development
Direct business outreach
Board-level policy briefings
Peer-to-peer mentorship

Discuss unique challenges and opportunities that come with developing utility-scale clean energy projects in rural areas
Share practical strategies and insights on everything from educating local businesses to navigating land use and regulatory complexities
Learn from both successes and setbacks to bring valuable lessons back to their communities
Build a peer network of leaders committed to supporting one another and advancing clean energy development in rural America
By fostering open dialogue and collaboration among chamber leaders, CICE aims to help communities embrace clean energy in ways that drive economic growth while addressing local concerns.
