CREATE A COMMUNITY SCORECARD

INSPIRE YOUR COMMUNITY

How do you know what your community needs to maximize its economic potential?

Compiling data and metrics for your community may sound daunting at first, but it is a great way to assess your current needs and strengthen your regional economic strategy. In addition to traditional aspects of prosperity models like employment, industry, and housing, consider incorporating clean energy and sustainability.

Here are some ideas for clean energy and sustainability metrics to include:

  • Public electric vehicle chargers

  • City fleet efficiency/percent of electric vehicles

  • Breakdown of renewable/clean energy mix under city utility portfolio

  • Number of annual solar permits (residential and commercial)

  • Progress towards community-wide efficiency targets
