  • Led by the Greater Dalton Chamber of CommerceBelieve Greater Dalton was launched as a community strategic plan to help grow the Dalton economy. Born from a need to help the community fully recover from the Great Recession, this initiative took bold steps to make their community investment-ready. Working alongside Dalton's development authority and other community partners, the Chamber successfully recruited Qcells to build the largest solar panel manufacturing facility in the Western Hemisphere, with the community ready to welcome them. Qcells has created over 1,000 local jobs and invested more than $500 million in Dalton.

  • PortMiami’s NetZero: Cargo Mobility Optimization & Resiliency Project is a visionary plan to convert the entire cargo movement chain to a carbon neutral operation, from PortMiami’s channel to its final distribution site.

Recognizing the need for a multi-stakeholder approach, the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce supports the project by doing what chambers do best: facilitating dialogue between the public and private sectors, advocating at the local, state, and federal levels, sharing research and resources, and bringing awareness to the community.

In addition to submitting a letter of support for the project’s successful federal grant proposal, the chamber’s Resilience Committee continues to advance the economic conversation around this development.
