Michele Querry
Southeast Regional Director
Michele Querry joined Chambers for Innovation and Clean Energy in 2023 as Southeast Regional Director, working with chamber and economic development professionals throughout NC, SC, and VA on how to best navigate renewable energy development to help their communities prosper. As a colleague and peer, she shares best practices, data, and other resources to help chambers and economic development organizations advocate at the local, state, and federal level for clean energy policy and development.
Michele previously served as Director of Economic Development for Carteret County, NC, where she led her board, county commissioners, and community stakeholders to understand, support, and realize the economic benefits of offshore wind development as well as other job and revenue-creating opportunities for the county.
During her tenure, she spearheaded numerous projects that revitalized the local economy, fostered business growth, and enhanced community infrastructure. Her work in Carteret County was marked by successful efforts to attract new investments and support existing industry, demonstrating her commitment to building resilient and thriving communities.
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Michele also earned a MA in Public Administration from Webster University. With a proven track record in economic and community development, Michele continues to champion initiatives that align with the goals of clean energy and innovation, making a significant impact in the Southeast and beyond.
