CICE welcomes new Communications Director

CICE is excited to welcome Kristy LeVasseur as our new Communications Director. Her responsibilities are to develop and lead CICE’s communications efforts to advance the economic case for clean energy among the chamber and economic development community as well as elevate CICE’s profile as a leading economic voice for clean energy.

Kristy's career has been focused on connecting people in the communications, media, and business development spaces, most recently for the chamber of commerce and construction industries. She has worked extensively on strategy creation, campaign design and execution, writing multi-million dollar proposals and grants, event management, and community outreach.

She is involved with local and regional leadership development initiatives and continues to use her communication skills to help local non-profits grow. She also serves on the board of one of the largest private non-profit nature centers in the United States.

Kristy holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Central Michigan University and a secondary teaching certification from Saginaw Valley State University. She earned her IOM (Institute for Organization Management) certification from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
