Working Towards Sunny Opportunities

Michelle Rotellini, president/CEO of the Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce in West Virginia, composed an Op-Ed to illustrate the impact solar energy development has on West Virginia's economy. Rotellini understands the importance of diversifying energy supply, and "the chamber supports an “all of the above” approach to energy options to ensure the future economic growth of the Beckley-Raleigh County area and all of southern West Virginia."

Black Rock Wind Farm goes on line in West Virginia - WV MetroNews

ELK GARDEN, W.Va. - Chances are if you're in Grant or Mineral Counties some of the power flowing into your home or business today was generated by wind turbines within the county. California based Clearway Energy announced the Black Rock Wind Farm, which straddles the Allegheny Front along the Mineral and Grant County line went on line Thursday for the first time.

GreenPower Motor Co. to manufacture electric school buses in West Virginia

CHARLESTON - GreenPower Motor Co. Inc. has signed an agreement with the state to lease/purchase a 9.5-acre manufacturing facility in South Charleston, according to the office of Gov. Jim Justice. The company plans to use an 80,000-square-foot building to manufacture zero-emission, all-electric school buses, Justice said in a press release.
